President Akufo-Addo’s final state of the nation address of his first term was a welcome reminder of how far we have come. When this administration took office in 2017, the country was literally on its knees, choked with debt and hindered by a slowing economy. In four short years, the President and his team have not only reversed the decline but embarked on perhaps the boldest agenda of any first term government in our history. Today, our children attend SHS free of charge, our farmers are well taken care of and productive, our districts are experiencing the boom of industrialisation, our banking sector has been cleaned up, our economy being modernised through ICT and through the Freedom of Information Act and other accountability legislations and institutions, we are expanding the frontiers of good governance. And that is before we come to the globally celebrated response to Covid-19 which saved lives and protected the economy. Indeed, we made the right decision four years ago, as we again did four weeks ago. And in four years, we will again be vindicated for our choice. Thank you, Mr President. #forGodandCountry#fortheGoodofGhana#SOTN
